Exciting news! We are very thrilled to announce a new blog series! From now on, we will kick off each month with a Home Organizing To-Do list. The check list will outline some ideas for organizing chores to tackle each month.

Happy May 1st!

  1. Do something nice for mom: Mother’s Day is officially Sunday May 12th. If the mother-figure in your life lives nearby, gift her with a fun activity the two of you can do together. I’m treating my mom to dinner and a concert! Any ideas??? Don’t forget to acknowledge ALL of the moms in your life. Send a cute card via snail mail to your grandmother, mother-in-law,sister, aunt, friend-you name it! They’ll appreciate the thought.
  2. Start planning your summer: If you’re a mom yourself, this means it’s time to put together your kid’s summer calendar as well. This task can be a giant jigsaw puzzle-don’t fear! Stay tuned for a post later this week dedicated to simplifying the process.
  3. Organize art projects and schoolwork: The school year is winding down. That means soon your kids will start to come home with stacks of art projects and schoolwork. Don’t let these items pile up. Take the time to go through them with your kids and decide what they would like to keep and what can go.
  4. Organize your photos from the past year. You’re probably about to add many photos to the bunch chronicling your summer adventures. Make sure to your existing photos are in order before summer rolls around.
  5. Clean your outdoor barbecue: Hose it down so you’re ready to go for your first cookout of the summer!
