Planning a large Thanksgiving meal for any number of guests can be a stressful task. Follow the steps below to keep you calm and organized!

  1. Find out how many people coming are and if there are any food allergies or special requests. Some people are adamant about having their favorites!
  2. Make a list of what you will serve and ensure there is a variety of side dishes, desserts, drinks whose flavors complement each other. Also, don’t forget to include a few easy snacks for guests while they are waiting and to keep you going while you’re cooking.
  3. Write down all ingredients needed and double check your pantry before heading to the grocery store.
  4. A week ahead of time, pick up any non-perishable items to shorten your grocery visit later in the week for produce and meat.
  5. Decide what dishes and prep work can be done ahead of time.
  6. Make a timeline for the 3 days leading up to Thanksgiving including all prep work, cooking, setting the table and table arrangements.
  7. Pull out utensils, linens and serving platters and stick a post-it on each serving piece with the name of the dish going in it.
  8. Enlist helpers, turn on some fun music  and get to cooking!
